Uber Technologies Inc. is being allowed to continue its ride-hailing service in London for another two months.

The company lost its five-year license in 2017 over passenger safety concerns. But it later was given a 15-month extension that expires tomorrow, BBC News reports.
The Transport for London regulatory agency says it awaits further information from Uber about how it will meet new safety standards for riders. The office wants Uber to adopt a more rigorous policy for conducting driver background checks, confirming insurance coverage and reporting serious criminal offenses.
BBC says Uber’s service relies upon 45,000 independent drivers in London. They are pushing Uber and Transport for London to resolve their issues and restore stability to Uber services in the city.
