Hyundai, Cummins Partner on Fuel Cells
Hyundai Motor Co. and Cummins Inc. have signed a memorandum of understanding to evaluate opportunities to jointly develop and commercialize fuel cell powertrains.

Hyundai Motor Co. and Cummins Inc. have signed a memorandum of understanding to evaluate opportunities to jointly develop and commercialize fuel cell powertrains.
Such systems would team Hyundai’s fuel cell technology with Cummins’ electric powertrain, battery and control expertise. The initial focus would be on commercial vehicles for the North American market.
The companies also will evaluate potential applications for stationary fuel cell power generators. These systems could be used as a back-up power source to prevent data loss in emergency situations, according to the companies.
Hyundai launched the fuel cell-powered Tucson SUV in 2015 and the next-generation Nexo crossover model last year. Hyundai has recently invested in two Canadian fuel cell companies: Hydrogenics Corp. and Loop Energy.

Mustang Changes for 2018

And while on the subject of the exterior, there are some notable changes—a lower, remodeled hood, repositioned hood vents, new upper and lower front grilles, LED front lights, revised LED taillamps, new rear bumper and fascia.
