Ford Names New Chief for Autonomy Unit
Ford Motor Co. has appointed John Lawler, formerly vice president of strategy, as CEO of the carmaker’s autonomous vehicles subsidiary.

Ford Motor Co. has appointed John Lawler, formerly vice president of strategy, as CEO of the carmaker’s autonomous vehicles subsidiary.
Lawler (pictured) replaces Sherif Marakby, who is taking a personal leave. Ford did not indicate when Marakby might return.
Lawler’s previous assignment has been filled by David McClelland, formerly CEO of Ford Motor Credit Co. That position has been filled by Marion Harris, the immediate past head of Ford’s mobility operations.
Lawler joined Ford in 1990. His previous assignments at the carmaker include CEO of China operations and corporate controller.
