Audi AG will unveil its AI:Trail concept electric vehicle at next month’s Frankfurt auto show.

A teaser image shows the wheels pushed to the far corners of the vehicle. Traditional bumpers have been eliminated to enhance off-road handling and clearance over uneven terrain.
The concept’s name also implies the car will incorporate some sort of artificial intelligence and/or automated driving features.
AI:Trail is the last in a series of four next-generation technology concept vehicles Audi has showcased since 2017. The AI:ME electric city car, which was unveiled at the Shanghai auto show in April, focused on autonomous and connected vehicle technology.
